'Ni No Kuni' coming to Europe in 2013

Namco Bandai has announced that Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch will release in Europe early 2013.

In the game, players control Oliver, a 13-year-old boy who is transported to a fantasy world as he embarks on a quest to revive his deceased mother.

The PlayStation 3 RPG is a collaboration between famed animation studio Studio Ghibli and Professor Layton creators Level-5.

The European localisation will include options for both the original Japanese voice work and new English voices, as well as subtitles in English, French, Italian, German and Spanish.

"We have worked very hard on Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch and it has been a great honour to collaborate with Studio Ghibli and Joe Hisaishi, so it was important for me that players outside Japan also have the best experience of the game we can give them," said Level-5 president Akihiro Hino.

"To make this possible, we decided to invest the time in localising the game so that as many people as possible across Europe can enjoy the full experience in their own language."

In Japan a DS version of Ni No Kuni was also released last year, but no announcement has been made for its localisation.

During Tokyo Game Show 2011, Namco Bandai revealed plans to also bring Ni No Kuni to North America in 2012.
