The Last Story's future as a franchise is uncertain, says creator Hironobu Sakaguchi.
Speaking at a BAFTA presentation for the title attended by Digital Spy, he was asked whether he will explore the universe with further instalments.
"It's a good idea but I don't really know whether I will be doing it," he replied.

Sakaguchi also revealed that he is currently developing three iOS games.
Sakaguchi is the creator of Final Fantasy, and worked on the series until his departure from Square Enix in 2003.
He then founded Mistwalker, going on to create Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey on Xbox 360.
The Last Story will be available on Nintendo Wii in Europe from February 24.
