According to Siliconera, a deal between Electronic Arts and Square Enix will put a Mass Effect character costume in future DLC for Final Fantasy XIII-2.
Though no source was cited for the news, the previous announcement that a costume based on Assassin's Creed's Ezio will be in Final Fantasy XIII-2 sets a precedent for crossovers like this.
Final Fantasy XIII-2 has already received its first DLC pack, 'Opponent: Lightning & Amodar'.
The DLC unlocks an additional boss battle against Lightning and Lieutenant Amodar in the Coliseum after which they can join the player's party.
A second DLC pack was announced titled 'Sazh: Heads or Tails', which lets players control Sazh in an episode that runs parallel to the story in Final Fantasy XIII-2.
The DLC also unlocks the Chronobird and Serendipity poker mini-games for the Serendipity casino area.
Final Fantasy XIII-2 was released on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC earlier this month.
Mass Effect 3 will release on March 6 in North America and March 9 in Europe for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
