A new Metal Gear Solid is in development, Konami has revealed.

The publisher has announced it is looking for "skilful" developers for the project, including engineers, artists and game creators.

It also revealed art work for the new project with what looks like Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker character Big Boss.

Described as the "next" and "latest" game in the franchise, it will be developed for high-end consoles and PC.

Engineers on the team would also work with the FOX Engine, which was used for PS3 exclusive Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.

Konami will be meeting interested candidates at the firm's booth at Game Developer Conference between March 6 and March 9.
