The trademark was registered by the gaming giant and its subsidiaries Game Freak and Creatures Inc, according to Siliconera.
Nintendo is already working on several new additions to the popular franchise. Pokemon Plus Nobunaga's Ambition will be released in Japan in the spring, followed by Pokemon Black Version 2 and White Version 2.
The original Pokemon Black and White were released for Nintendo DS last year, selling more than two million copies in their first two months on the market.
Pokemon Adventure Camp is rumoured to be the next game in the series following the two core sequels, although no specific details of the game have been revealed.
Pokemon Black Version 2 and White Version 2 will be available first in Japan this June, followed by release on Nintendo DS in Europe and in North America during autumn 2012.
