One of the new features in update 1.5 is greater variety in kill cameras, offering slow motion kill shots for ranged attacks and spells as well as new moves and animations for melee weapons.
The expanded kill cameras were one of the features created during Bethesda's internal game jam, where developers were given a week to experiment with any feature they wanted.
In addition to kill cameras, the update will alter Smithing to take into account an item's value for skill increases, improve the visual transition when going underwater and add shadows to the grass for the PC version. There are also a variety of quest and general bug fixes that will be implemented, a full list of which can be found on Bethesda's blog.
PC users can access the 1.5 update in beta starting today by opting in through Steam.
Update 1.5 will be available for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 "soon".
