The news comes after THQ announced that Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millennium, which is being developed by Vigil Games, will be repackaged as a single-player game with multiplayer elements, instead of an MMO.
"Vigil Games will continue to focus on both this game and the critically-acclaimed new title, Darksiders 2, scheduled for release this summer," reads a statement issued by THQ.
"Relic Entertainment continues to focus its development expertise on THQ's franchises including Company of Heroes and Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War."
THQ previously denied reports that it was cancelling its 2014 lineup, including massively multiplayer online release Warhammer: Dark Millennium.
Earlier this year, the company confirmed a number of job losses from outside of its development studios.
CEO Brian Farrell, meanwhile, announced plans to halve his current salary from $718,500 (£454,129) to $359,250 (£227,064) for the next year.
