Battlefield 3's Rent-a-Server update has launched on the Xbox 360.
The Rent-a-Server feature is one of many tweaks to be included in the update, the benefits of which are outlined in a new video.
Renting a server enables players to dictate which maps, modes and settings feature in each game.
It also gives players the ability to ban unwanted guests, prioritise friends and practise running tactics in private arenas.
Rental options start at £1.19 ($1.89) for one day, and cost £5.49 ($8.71) for a week, £19.99 ($31.73) for 30 days and £47.99 ($76.18) for a 90-day period.
Other enhancements include an improved spawn time, reduced time spent switching between weapons and quicker response time when moving from a prone position.
There are also countless weapon and vehicle tweaks, as well as improvements and bug fixes to the gameplay.
The update was released for PlayStation 3 and PC last week. Full patch notes are available via the Battlefield blog.
