At today's Spring Conference, the studio said that all current and future owners of The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings on PC will be entitled to a free backup copy through GOG. The backup copy is available to all users, regardless of where the game was originally purchased.
Witcher 2 owners on PC will also be able to pre-download the Enhanced Edition patch starting April 11, prior to its April 17 launch. The Enhanced Edition patch will include all of the new content from the upcoming Xbox 360 version. Users still won't be able to access the content until April 17, but when the launch day arrives the content will already be downloaded and ready.
To coincide with The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition, an interactive comic based on the Witcher universe will be available for download on iOS devices starting April 17.
CD Projekt also announced that its first game, The Witcher: Enhanced Edition, is now available for Mac users through Steam.
Finally, CD Projekt is offering fans a chance to review the Xbox 360 version of The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition by giving away 1,000 copies of the game. Fans interested can fill out a form that enters them for a chance to receive a free copy of the game and write their own review.
The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings for Xbox 360 will release worldwide on April 17.
