The latest cinematic trailer, which was unveiled at Capcom's Captivate event, shows Dante rudely awoken by demons with a revealing look at his lack of a sleeping wardrobe.
Meanwhile, a newscaster in the trailer labels Dante as a terrorist and "sexual deviant", setting up the gritty new take on the series.
DmC: Devil May Cry is set to reboot the franchise, shifting the setting to a parallel universe with a younger, grittier Dante.
It is being developed by Ninja Theory, the team behind Enslaved: Odyssey To The West.
DmC: Devil May Cry is due to be released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2012.
