The latest video, which was unveiled at Capcom's Captivate event, features the four-player online co-operative mode.
Each player will man their own customised vertical tank through a variety of co-operative maps. Players can earn new equipment for their mechs by completing missions, and will be rated online through the game's Score Attack mode.
The game will make use of both a standard Xbox 360 controller and Kinect. Moving and shooting the mech will be performed with the controller, while Kinect motion controls will allow players to adjust their view, pull cockpit levers and scout with binoculars.
Players can also use motion controls to interact with their crew, building an emotional connection with their platoon.
Steel Battalion: Heavy Armour is the next game in the series that started on the Xbox in 2002. It used a unique controller consisting of 40 buttons, two joysticks, three foot pedals and a throttle control.
Steel Battalion: Heavy Armour will release exclusively on Xbox 360 on June 19 in North America and June 22 across Europe.
