The brutally challenging action RPG will arrive on PC on August 24.
Announced at the Namco Bandai Gamer's Day event in Las Vegas, the firm revealed that there were originally no plans for a PC version.
However, with the outpouring of fan support and the online petition to bring the game to PC, the studio started making arrangements for the port.
The game will come with a number of additions from the console version, including new areas, bosses and enhanced player versus player options.
Dark Souls sold well after its release on Xbox 360 and PS3 in October, with 1.5 million units shipped worldwide.
