Firmware update 1.67, which is not mandatory to download, is said to improve stability for some games.
It is the third new update in a fortnight for the system, following a faulty download released on April 3 that had to be replaced by a fresh update the following day.
The recent updates allowed users to toggle notifications, change Power Save settings and improve Near functionality.
Previous firmware releases added video recording and Google Maps.
PlayStation Vita-compatible release Everybody's Tennis was recently pulled from PSN amid fears of piracy.
The PSP title, which was available to download for the PlayStation Vita, was said to contain a vulnerability "that could lead to the execution of external code".
