The red PS3, previously exclusive to Japan, is the slim model of the Sony system. It features a 320GB HDD and a matching DualShock 3 Wireless Controller.
A blue PS3 is also available in the Far East, but Sony is yet to announce plans to bring it to other territories.
Sony's home console was released in 2006, coming to Europe in 2007. The machine had sold more than 62 million units worldwide by the end of December last year.
Amazon lists the red model for release on April 27, priced at £250. Play will sell it from May 4 at £240.
