'Paint Park' leads trio of free PS Vita apps

By
Sony has announced three upcoming PlayStation Vita applications.

Paint Park, which will be available April 18, lets users draw original pictures using the PS Vita's touch screen, or sketch on photos taken using the system's front or rear cameras.

Drawings can be shared with friends online, or you can compete with up to five friends in multiplayer challenges.

Later this summer, Sony will also release Treasure Park and Wake-up Club on PS Vita.

Treasure Park lets users create their own puzzles to share with friends and earn rewards. Wake-up Club is an alarm clock app that can connect with users who set their alarms for the same time.

PS Vita recently received a firmware update to improve game stability.

The update arrived shortly after a faulty April 3 update that had to be fixed the following day.
