Crysis 3 has been given a teaser trailer by Electronic Arts.
The brief debut video contains the first glimpse of the Prophet and his crossbow weapon.
The teaser releases ahead of next week's gameplay trailer, which goes live on April 24.
Crysis 3 was officially announced earlier this week. It was previously outed through a leaked listing on EA's own Origin service.
The sequel is once again set in New York, with the Prophet discovering the city has been encased in a 'Nanodome' by the Cell Corporation.
The Crysis 3: Hunter Edition can be pre-ordered from today, offering early access to the bow and various attachments in multiplayer, as well as an XP boost, additional Nanosuit module, exclusive skin and set of in-game dog tags.
Retailer-specific pre-order bonuses will offer varying multiplayer unlocks, including access to a Jackal shotgun, Typhoo assault weapon and a Feline sub-machine gun.
The original Crysis was given a digital release on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network last year.
Developer Crytek, meanwhile, is currently working on a sequel to Homefront.
Crysis 3 will be available on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in 2013.
