Publisher Capcom confirmed that the crossover fighter, which was originally released in 2000, will be available via the App Store from next week.
The game features a 56-character roster that includes Marvel Comics superheroes such as Spider-Man, Wolverine and Captain America, as well as Street Fighter combatants such as Ryu, Guile and M. Bison.
Marvel vs Capcom 2 introduced the 'Variable System' to the series, allowing players to tag in a teammate to assist them in battle. The iOS edition will carry this feature over, along with the full character roster.
The title was given the HD treatment for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2009, following in the footsteps of Capcom's Super Street Fighter II.
Marvel Vs. Capcom 3: Fate Of Two Worlds was released for current generation consoles late last year, followed by Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3.
Marvel vs Capcom 2 will be released for iOS on April 25.
