The invite-only test allows players to provide feedback for the free-to-play management title, helping shape features before it enters open beta in the coming months.
Accepted players will also earn bonus in-game rewards for when the game launches in full later this year.
Players can register their interest at the official F1 Online: The Game website.
Announced last year, the title allows players to race on iconic tracks such as Monaco and Silverstone from a top down perspective across a number of online game modes.
As well as embarking upon a full 2011 FIA Formula One Championship, players can race in individual Grand Prix events complete with practice and qualifying rounds, as well as a range of challenges and time trials.
F1 2012 will also be available on consoles this September.
