The outage takes place on the same day that the European PlayStation Store is updated, although purchases made before it goes offline will not be affected.

PlayStation Home will be completely unavailable, while the PlayStation Store, customer account management and user registration will also be disabled.

Users wishing to play online during the period must sign into PlayStation Network before maintenance begins.

It will be the second time that PSN has been affected in a week folllowing maintenance yesterday (May 2).

Sony has announced several new exclusive games in the past few weeks, including God of War Ascension, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale and PSN indie title The Unfinished Swan.
