Players will be able to pick worms for their team from four classes, the Soldier, Scout, Heavy and Scientist. Each class will have its own strengths and abilities.
The Soldier class is well-rounded, with strong attack and balanced movement. Scouts are a smaller class, presenting a harder target that can will move faster and jump higher, but have weaker attacks and are more susceptible to getting thrown by explosives.
The Heavy is the largest and strongest class, but also the slowest. Finally, the Scientist is a support class that raises the team's health with each turn and can build unique items like the sentry gun and electromagnet.
Players will start with only one worm of each class, but can unlock three more for a total of 16 units to create their teams of four.
Worms Revolution is a new entry in the popular strategy series, which is being built from the ground up on a new engine featuring 3D terrain and characters in the classic 2D style of the series.
It is expected to release as a downloadable title for PC and consoles in the third quarter of 2012.
