Harmonix has denied that Rock Band: Led Zeppelin is currently being developed by the studio.

Rumours began circulating recently when the game was mentioned on the CV of film editor Fiona DeSouza, who mentioned having worked on a commercial or trailer for the title.

Harmonix quickly responded, issuing a statement that no such game is in the works.

"As we've noted before, we're constantly in talks with all major artists and labels," Harmonix's statement read.

"That said, Harmonix has never been in development on a Led Zeppelin game, though we'd obviously be thrilled to have them in Rock Band."

Harmonix has previously developed two group-themed Rock Band titles. First there was The Beatles: Rock Band in 2009, which was followed in 2010 by Green Day: Rock Band.

Led Zeppelin's music has not appeared in any prior Rock Band or Guitar Hero title, with the band notoriously protective of how their songs are licensed and used.
