Pepsi Max crowd-surfing football game launches on Xbox Live

By
Pepsi Max has launched a new crowd surfing football game on Xbox Live Arcade.

Based on a recent ad campaign, which featured footballers Didier Drogba, Fernando Torres, Frank Lampard and Sergio 'Kun' Ag├╝ero, the game sees players complete football-related challenges while running across a crowd of people.

Players can tackle the game's three levels with their Xbox 360 avatars for the chance to win Pepsi-related avatar T-shirts and Xbox 360 dashboard themes.

Users can view the commercial and participate in the challenge by clicking on the banner ad in the Xbox 360 home screen. The game is live from from May 10 until August 10.

To coincide with the release of the mini-game, Pepsi has also launched a new Facebook app, enabling users to star alongside the players in the ad campaign.

Pepsi Max UK manager Tiffany Welsh said: "We're delighted to announce that we have teamed up with Xbox LIVE. Pepsi Max consumers are always at the forefront of digital trends so we're always keen to provide our fans with an engaging and innovative experience.

"This unique game allows players to interact with our innovative football campaign in a revolutionary way."

The crowd-surfing football ad first aired on April 2. It features the Calvin Harris song 'Let's Go' featuring Ne-Yo, which can be found on his latest album.

News of Calvin Harris's involvement with Pepsi was announced earlier this year.
