A court order last Friday (May 11) grants landlord Lazari GP the right to evict the retailer and drill the locks unless the debt is paid, reports The Daily Telegraph.
The GAME Group had been primed to pay a £100,000 bill for three months' advance rent prior to falling into administration.
Administrators PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC) did not accept responsibility for the debt, arguing that it took over the day after the rent was due. The firm's representatives are quoted as saying that it "no longer has an economic interest" in the matter which is "largely between OpCapita and Lazari".
The legal dispute between PwC and Lazari GP is ongoing. New owners OpCapita, meanwhile, continue to negotiate with Lazari over the sum.
Earlier today (May 14) it was announced that GAME Australia had entered administration.
It was also revealed that the Australian stores would not stock Diablo III and were unable to offer refunds to pre-order customers.
