The console version will connect to smartphone and tablet counterparts, allowing players to carry over experience.
A new smartphone app will also launch, adding in-game auctions for Ultimate Teams and career tracking.
FIFA 12 users will see their XP carry over to the new game, which can be used to purchase items from the FIFA catalogue.

The innovations were announced during EA's E3 press conference in Los Angeles.
Earlier today it was revealed that the Xbox 360 of FIFA 13 would feature Kinect functionality.
Players will be able to use voice commands to make substitutions, change tactics and give the referee a dressing down.
FIFA 13 releases for Xbox 360, PS3, PC, Wii, 3DS, Vita, PS2, iPhone and iPad in September.
