A Mass Effect Wii U reveal was heavily rumoured following a post on the game's German Facebook page.

It will be joined by third-party games such as Tank! Tank! Tank!, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Trine 2: Director's Cut, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge, and Aliens: Colonial Marines.

Nintendo has already unveiled the Wii U Pro Controller and a revised Wii U Gamepad tablet at this year's E3.

It also announced the Miiverse online network, which enables users to send and receive tips and messages while playing all Wii U games.

The E3 Expo runs in Los Angeles until June 7.
