No explanation has been offered for the delay, which is listed on Steam for the slightly earlier date of June 28.

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier released last month for the Xbox 360 and PS3.

Originally scheduled for release in 2011, it was delayed in order to keep its identity, with Ubisoft admitting that it may have spent too much time redesigning the title.

It has since gone on to dominate the all-format and platform charts, extending its reign to three weeks on Monday.
