'Assassin's Creed 3' E3 gameplay demo unveiled - watch

By
Assassin's Creed 3 has been given a new gameplay trailer by Ubisoft.

The seven-minute video provides a walkthrough of the frontier demo from E3 2012 with narration by creative director Alex Hutchinson.

The demo footage shows Connor climbing and swinging through trees in the forest, hunting deer and invading a British fort in search of his assassination target.

While the footage itself was revealed during Ubisoft's E3 press conference, the new narration track offers deeper insight into how the game's world comes together to provide a sense of how it will flow when playing firsthand.

At E3, Ubisoft also announced the spin-off title for PlayStation Vita, Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation, which will support cross-play with the PlayStation 3 edition of Assassin's Creed 3, allowing players to unlock bonuses in both games by trading goods.

Assassin's Creed 3 will be released for Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3 on October 31 worldwide. A Wii U version is also in development and will be available during the system's launch window this holiday season.

The title is on course to break Ubisoft's record for the most pre-ordered game of all time.
