'Limbo' successor 'Project Two' details emerge

By
Limbo successor Project Two has been detailed on a Danish government website.

The new game from Playdead Studios tells the story of a boy's struggle against evil forces, reports Kotaku.

The evil forces are said to be "trying to take over the world through questionable experiments on human bodies".

The game features 2.5D platform gameplay, and will ditch the monochrome look in favour of a more colourful aesthetic, confirming earlier claims made by Playdead Studios.

The untitled game, tentatively called Project Two, will release on the PC, Mac, Xbox 360 and PS3.

The details were listed on the interactive grants section of a Danish government website.

Project Two has previously been described as "more crazy than Limbo" by Playdead's Dino Patti.

Patti added: "I think it looks crazy good. I'm really proud of it already. I know the art is not fully there yet, but for me it's the perfect project two for our company, because it's similar in many ways, but so different."

The game is being developed using the Unity 3D game engine, which is also compatible with iOS and Android devices.

Playdead Studios has not set a release date for Project Two at this time, but development is expected to take at least three years.
