The vintage Square Enix role-playing game runs on Windows 7.5 or higher and can be purchased for £5.49.
Featuring traditional turn-based battles, the game sees the Warriors of Light set out on a quest to restore the power of the crystals of light.
The Windows Phone version also features the bonus dungeons that were added after the original release.
Square Enix has previously released Final Fantasy I + II on the PlayStation Network.
Other entries, such as Final Fantasy III and Tactics, have also been released for iOS devices.
The original Final Fantasy is said to have saved Square from bankruptcy when it was released in 1987.
