The studio revealed that the next update for the massively multiplayer online (MMO) game will be titled 'Seekers of Adoulin' and will arrive next year.
'Seekers of Adoulin' will contain new areas, story, two new classes and new jobs. The add-on will be given a retail release for Xbox 360 and be available digitally for PC users.
PlayStation 2 owners over in Japan, where the game was first released, will also be able to purchase the content.
Final Fantasy XI debuted in the Asian territory in 2002. It became the first MMO playable across three platforms when it was released for Xbox 360 consoles worldwide in 2006.
Final Fantasy XI's 'Seekers of Adoulin' update is released in 2013.
