The third-person action adventure title features a story loosely based on the Old English stories of King Horn. A young boy named Horn wakes up to find that the people of his village have been transformed by a curse, spurring him on a quest to save them.
Horn promises a console-quality experience on mobile devices, with a ten-hour main quest and open levels to explore. The title also features intuitive gesture controls as players run, jump, climb with a grappling hook and fight monsters using swords and crossbows.
The game will also feature a soundtrack by award winning Journey composer Austin Wintory.
Phosphor Games previously worked on mobile first-person horror title The Dark Meadow, and has teamed up with Zynga to publish Horn.
Horn was featured during the Google I/O keynote address for the Nexus 7 tablet, and will be made available for all Android and iOS devices later this year.
