The incoming content adds three new maps, a new weapon, item and faction, as well as additional Trophies/Achievements.
New maps include 55th Battalion HQ, which is available for all game modes, while the Imperial Palace and Departure Lounge maps are playable in Deathmatch and Payne Killer.
The São Paulo Police will be available as a new faction, the Light Fingers item enables faster looting, while the M4 Assault Rifle releases with attachments.
Originally scheduled for June, Rockstar will offer the content at the reduced price of 480 Microsoft Points (£4.08 / $6) for the Xbox 360, or £4.25 for PSN and PC.
After one week, it will be available for 640 Microsoft Points (£5.44 / $8) for Xbox 360 and £5.49 for PSN and PC users.
Rockstar also announced plans to release pre-order DLC, such as the Cemetery Map, Silent Killer Loadout Pack, Pill Bottle Item, Deadly Force Burst and the Classic Max Payne Character.
All content will be free to users with a Max Payne 3 Season Pass.
Max Payne 3 was released last month for the Xbox 360 and PS3. A PC version launched on June 1.
The game takes place in São Paulo where Max is working security for a wealthy family who are the target of Brazil's criminal underworld.
