'Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn': Live-action series teased with trailer

By
Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn has been given a teaser trailer by Microsoft.

The upcoming live action mini-series will air on Machinima in the five weeks leading up to the game's release in November.

The teaser trailer hints at troubling times for the UNSC, picturing Master Chief surrounded by empty bullet shells.

Announced in May, Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn will introduce fans to a young UNSC cadet who goes on to lead the UNSC Infinity spacecraft having been inspired by Master Chief.

The origins story will tie in with the plot of the game, teaching players about a lot of different facets of the universe.

More details, including the director and cast, will be revealed at Comic-Con in San Diego this July.

Set four years after the events of Halo 3, the upcoming release marks the return of iconic hero Master Chief and represents the beginning of a brand new saga.

Halo 3 wrapped up the original trilogy in 2007, but the fate of Master Chief and his artificial intelligence companion Cortana was left open-ended.
