'Grand Theft Auto 5' for gamescom? Clip appears in promo video

By
Grand Theft Auto 5 will appear at gamescom, a new promotional video suggests.

The gamescom 2012 trailer includes information about the event and its attractions. A brief Grand Theft Auto 5 snippet appears within the first two minutes, possibly hinting at an upcoming announcement.

Rockstar is yet to confirm its involvement with the event, reports VG247, although publisher Take-Two is listed as an exhibitor.

Announced last year, Grand Theft Auto 5 takes place in the city of Los Santos and its surrounding hills, countryside and beaches. Its lead character is thought to be a man named Albert De Silva, played by Ned Luke.

Grand Theft Auto 5 has been tipped for an October release, following a leaked developer CV. The game has been predicted to sell 14 million copies when it launches.

Despite the rumours, Rockstar North has remained tight-lipped, promising more details in the coming weeks and months.
