By
Assassin's Creed 3 has been given a live-action trailer by Ubisoft.

The 'Rise' cinematic trailer focuses on the imminent conflict between the British and American colonies, and features acts of rebellion that lead to the rise of the assassin.

The trailer is accompanied by the announcement that Assassin's Creed 3 will be demonstrated in select stores throughout the UK.

Starting today (July 4) until the end of August, the in-store demonstrations gives fans the opportunity to view a running version of the upcoming sequel.

It will be on show at GAME stores in Newcastle, London Oxford St, Bristol Cribbs Causeway, Nottingham, Manchester Trafford Centre and The Fort Glasgow.

Additional details and locations can be found on the game's website.

Earlier this week a new gameplay trailer was released to tie into Independence Day in the US.

Announced in February, Assassin's Creed 3 will take place over a 30-year period in colonial America beginning in 1777.

It features a brand new lead named Connor, the offspring of an English father and Native American mother.

PlayStation Vita spinoff Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation was announced at this year's E3 Gaming Expo.

Assassin's Creed 3 and Liberation will be released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita on October 31 worldwide.
