Former Catchphrase host Roy Walker will be the voice of upcoming Wii game Quiz Party.

Announced by Nintendo today (July 4), Quiz Party adopts a multiplayer game show format, in which teams answer questions across five categories and three game modes.

Categories include Odd One Out, Brainstorm, Blind Test, Multiple Choice and Time's Up, the latter of which sees players answer questions against the clock.

The aim is to be the first team to collect 15 stickers, or five stickers during Flash mode. Players can also attempt to answer any number of the game's 2,000+ questions in the Quick mode.

Northern Irish funnyman Roy Walker hosted ITV game show Catchphrase from 1986 until 1999.

He was replaced by Nick Weir in 2000, followed by Mark Curry in 2002. The programme was axed later that year.

Walker told Digital Spy that he would "love" the ITV game show to be revived, and that he was not happy with the direction it took after he departed.

Quiz Party releases for the Nintendo Wii on July 27.
