The follow-up to 2010 release Sniper: Ghost Warrior was originally due to launch in August, but will now release on October 9, reports Eurogamer.
No reason was given for the delay, and it is unclear whether or not it will have an impact on the release in North America, where the game is distributed by a different publishing partner.
Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 was unveiled last October. Combat takes place in a wide variety of locations, such as Tibet, the Philippines and war-torn Sarajevo.
The original game has gone on to sell more than two million copies.
Initially available for the PC and Xbox 360, a PlayStation 3 version launched last year, containing upgraded visuals, new missions, multiplayer maps and a Hardcore difficulty mode.
An iOS port, meanwhile, was announced last year. Developed by Vivid Games, the port will feature touchscreen controls and is powered by the Unreal Engine.
Developed by City Interactive, the game will be released for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
