Left 4 Dead has been shown running on PS Vita thanks to a homebrew developer's creative use of PlayStation Mobile.
YouTube user digitalarts001 brought the zombie title to the handheld complete with motion controls via the Sony mobile service and a remote desktop application.
The video's creator appears to have developed a homebrew app using PlayStation Mobile that connects to a remote version of Windows to run the game over a network virtually free of lag.
Other games shown running on the Vita using the same method include Super Mario Bros. 3, Final Fantasy 10 and Metal Gear Solid.
Formerly known as PlayStation Suite, PlayStation Mobile allows third-parties to develop applications for PlayStation-certified mobile devices, such as the PS Vita, the Xperia S smartphone and the Tablet S.
Left 4 Dead was released for PC and Xbox 360 back in 2008.
