'The Expendables 2' video game gets trailer, release date

By
The Expendables 2 has been given its first trailer by Ubisoft.

The trailer features appearances from Dolph Lundgren and Terry Crews, before showcasing the run and gun in-game action.

Ubisoft also revealed the game's various release dates.

It will launch on the PlayStation Network on August 1, before releasing for XBLA and the PC on August 17, the same day as the launch of the movie.

Announced last month, The Expendables 2 allows up to four players to join in co-operatively, either locally or online, for an action-packed experience to rescue a kidnapped billionaire.

When the operation goes sour, the adventure will take players from Somali deserts to Burmese jungles both on land and in a variety of vehicles.

Players will be able to choose between four of the film's action stars, including Sylvester Stallone, Lundgren, Crews and Jet Li's characters.

The movie, meanwhile, welcomes newcomers Jean-Claude Van Damme, Liam Hemsworth and Chuck Norris.
