Ghost Recon: Future Soldier's 'Arctic Strike' DLC will launch next week, Ubisoft has announced.

The Arctic-themed Future Soldier add-on contains three new multiplayer maps, a Guerilla co-op map, a new multiplayer game mode, six additional weapons and an increased level cap.

New multiplayer mode 'Stockade' alters the respawn rules, adding downed players to a queue.

A new player will re-enter the map for every team kill, while the whole team will respawn upon the completion of an objective.

The DLC will cost £9.99 from the PlayStation Network and 800 Microsoft Points (£6.80 / $10) on Xbox Live Arcade.

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier was released in May for the Xbox 360 and PS3. The delayed PC version launched last month.

Originally scheduled for release in 2011, it was delayed in order to keep its identity, with Ubisoft admitting that it may have spent too much time redesigning the title.

It went on to dominate the all-format and platform charts within the first few weeks on sale.
