The ESRB site recently updated the entry for Machinarium to include PS Vita as a platform.
A PlayStation 3 version had previously been announced, which is also listed by the ESRB, but this is the first mention of the point-and-click adventure game coming to Sony's handheld system.
Developer Amanita Design attempted to downplay the ESRB leak speaking with Eurogamer, saying that it would like to make a PS Vita version, but there was no official confirmation from Sony yet that it will happen.
Machinarium first released on PC in 2009 and won the 'Excellence in Visual Art' award at the 12th Independent Games Festival.
Versions of the game were also in development at one point for Xbox 360 and Wii, but have been dropped due to a "bad experience" with Microsoft and file size restrictions on WiiWare.
The PlayStation 3 version was originally scheduled to release last year, with the delay likely to allow for a simultaneous release on PS3 and PS Vita.
Amanita Design's latest game Botanicula released earlier this year on PC and Mac.
