The debut video teases some of the dangers facing Echo Squad, to whom "failure is not an option".
It also hints at each character's individual abilities, which appear to include skills such as strength, speed and magic.
Announced in May, Scourge: Outbreak focuses on Echo Squad, a group of mercenaries on a mission against a power-hungry corporation.
The squad, tasked with fighting through "alien-infested facilities and military on Nogari Island", includes four playable characters, each having different weapons, stats and combination of abilities.
The campaign, which can be played co-operatively with three others, is said to be around six hours long.
Competitive multiplayer is also included, with deathmatch, team deathmatch and capture the flag variants available for up to eight players across five maps.
Spanish developer Tragnarion Studios has previously worked on Doodle Hex for the Nintendo DS.
The futuristic third-person shooter from Tragnarion Studios will release on Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and Mac later this summer.
