'Resident Evil 6' releases three new gameplay trailers - watch

By
Resident Evil 6 has been given three new trailers by Capcom.

The videos highlight gameplay footage that debuted during Capcom's Resident Evil 6 panel at San Diego Comic-Con.

The first video features Leon Kennedy, who is trapped in dark subway tunnels filled with zombies and dangerous passing trains.

A second video depicts Chris Redfield and a squad of counter-bioterrorism specialists as they find themselves facing an invisible giant snake.

A final trailer shows series newcomer Jake Muller fighting against the powerful transforming Ustanak enemy. The video also displays the game's crossover mechanic, where two independent pairs of co-operative players team up for a four-person battle against the Ustanak.

Announced earlier this year, Resident Evil 6 is set 15 years after the Raccoon City incident and features Leon Kennedy, Chris Redfield and newcomer Jake Muller as playable characters for three interwoven stories travelling from the infected American town of Tall Oaks to China.

The game is Capcom's largest ever production, with more than 600 staff involved in its development.

A demo launched last week for Xbox 360 Dragon's Dogma owners.

The demo, which features three different missions, will remain an Xbox 360 exclusive until September, when it releases for the PS3.

Resident Evil 6 will be available from October 2 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. A PC release will follow, but has not yet been dated.
