FreakZone Games' retro-themed title is based on the 1966 movie of the same name, and includes references to other cult properties.
"MANOS honours bad movies and games and borrows a lot of conventions from famous badness of the past, while at the same time bringing them all together to create something good," said the studio in a statement.
The game references NES platformer Castlevania II: Simon's Quest and includes Easter eggs based on the TV show Mystery Science Theater 3000, which poked fun at bad movies.
FreakZone also announced that MANOS: The Hands of Fate will be released for Android devices, including the Kindle Fire, in the near future.
MANOS: The Hands of Fate is released for iOS on July 26.
