Titled the 'Discovery' trailer, the video provides a deeper look at the game's characters and story.
Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 are the first direct sequels in the series. Nintendo traditionally denotes new additions to the franchise by colour, rather than numerically.
The games are set two years after their predecessors and see players return to the region of Unova.
The story will feature a new threat while once again centering around Team Plasma and its leader N. Players will also be able to play flashback scenes to further flesh out N's past.
The games will be accompanied by the release of the Nintendo 3DS Pokémon Dream Radar app, which utilises the system's camera, motion control and augmented reality technology, enabling players to catch Pokémon by scanning the room and shooting a beam.
The app will contain a combination of rare and standard Pokémon, all of which will be transferable to Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 when captured.
Fellow 3DS app Pokédex 3D Pro, meanwhile, will launch in autumn.
Pokédex 3D Pro is an updated version of the original Pokédex 3D application, containing information on more than 600 Pokémon, as well as a comprehensive set of sorting, comparison and ranking tools.
Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 will be available for Nintendo DS on October 5 in North America and October 12 in Europe.
