The racing sequel is due to launch for mobile devices later this year. The announcement is accompanied by a new trailer showcasing pre-alpha gameplay footage.
Developed by the newly-formed Firemonkey studio, a combination of Firemint and Australian studio Iron Monkey, the game adds several new features.
For the first time in the franchise's history, Real Racing 3 will feature authentic race courses, such as the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Silverstone.
Licensed car manufacturers include Porsche, Dodge and Audi. Races, meanwhile, feature upwards of 22 players.
The game is the follow-up to 2010 release Real Racing 2 (below).
