Nintendo has announced that its flagship 3DS platformer will cost £39.99 through Nintendo eShop, £10 more than it will cost at retail level through GAME, CVG reports.
New Super Mario Bros 2 is the first 3DS title to be released simultaneously via digital and physical media. Customers who download their copy will receive twice as many Club Nintendo coins as those who purchase it on a 3DS card.
It will also be the only first-party Nintendo title to offer premium DLC content, following in the footsteps of Square Enix's Final Fantasy Theatrhythm.
Nintendo also confirmed that N64 classic Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon headlines this weeks eShop update, along with New Art Academy, The Incredible Barbazan: Up Your Sleeve and more.
New Super Mario Bros 2 is released for 3DS on August 17 in Europe and August 19 in North America.
