The video, shown at this year's gamescom, features Jim Peyton as he fights monsters on foot and inside a mechanical rig in the icy cold.
Lost Planet 3 is a prequel to Lost Planet: Extreme Condition and stars Jim, a blue-collar rig pilot who takes a job on E.D.N III mining thermal energy.
The shooter is said to include open-world gameplay, an ever-changing climate and larger enemies.
Lost Planet 3 is being developed by Spark Unlimited. It will release sometime in 2013.
Both the first Lost Planet and its sequel Lost Planet 2 were developed in-house by Capcom.
At Capcom's press conference, the company also announced third-person action-adventure Remember Me, an original property by French developer Dontnod Studio.
