'PlayStation All-Stars' adds 'Heavenly Sword', 'MediEvil' characters

By
PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will feature characters from Heavenly Sword and MediEvil.

Heavenly Sword protagonist Nariko and Sir Daniel Fortesque from MediEvil have been outed as the game's latest playable characters in a video captured by Gamespot.

Sir Daniel is described as slow and hard-hitting, while Nariko is said to have a high risk-high reward style, but is also extremely versatile.

Sir Daniel Fortesque made his debut in 1998 PSOne release MediEvil, which is also available to download from the PlayStation Network.

Nariko, meanwhile, made her debut in 2007 PS3 title Heavenly Sword and was voiced by Fringe actress Anna Torv.

The new characters bring the game's roster up to 20 fighters, including Ratchet, Sackboy, Jak, Fat Princess, Sly Cooper, Dante from Devil May Cry, Colonel Radec from Killzone, Parappa the Rapper, Kratos from God of War, Nathan Drake from Uncharted, Sweet Tooth from Twisted Metal and the Big Daddy from Bioshock.

Earlier this week, it was announced that Raiden from the Metal Gear Solid series and Evil Cole MacGrath from the Infamous games had also joined the cast.

Sony announced at gamescom 2012 that PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will enable the Cross-Buy feature, giving users a free copy of the game on PlayStation 3 or Vita when purchased for the other system.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale's release date was recently hit with a delay, and will now release on November 20 in North America and on November 23 in the UK.
