'Command & Conquer: The Ultimate Collection' announced

Command & Conquer: The Ultimate Collection has been announced for the PC.

Available to download from EA's Origin platform, the collection of all 17 Command & Conquer games can be purchased for £24.99 when it releases later this autumn.















The collection, which is available to pre-order now, will be updated for Windows 7 and Vista, and also comes with beta access to next year's Frostbite 2-powered Command & Conquer.

Previously known as Command & Conquer: Generals 2, the game has dropped the subtitle and will now be released as a free-to play entry in the series.

It will launch next year with units and armies from the Generals series, with expansions themed after other Command & Conquer spin-offs to release at a later time.
